Refund & Subscription Policy

1. Scope
This Refund and Subscription Policy applies to paid access to OtoBoard Prep, including individual subscriptions, promotional subscriptions, trial conversions, and any other paid digital access unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
2. Subscription Access
A Subscription gives the Authorized User access to the paid features of OtoBoard Prep for the purchased term and plan.
Access is individual, non-transferable, and subject to the Terms of Use. A Subscription does not allow account sharing, group use, institutional use, redistribution, classroom display, or commercial training unless OtoBoard Prep gives written permission or enters into a separate agreement.
3. Digital Content Begins Immediately
By purchasing a Subscription, the user acknowledges that OtoBoard Prep provides digital educational content and digital performance analytics that begin to be delivered immediately after activation.
Because digital access begins immediately, cancellation or refund rights may be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
4. Fixed-Term and Auto-Renewing Plans
OtoBoard Prep may offer fixed-term plans, auto-renewing plans, or both.
If a plan is fixed-term, access expires at the end of the purchased term unless renewed.
If a plan is auto-renewing, the checkout page will disclose renewal terms. By subscribing to an auto-renewing plan, the user authorizes recurring charges until cancellation.
5. Cancellation
Users may cancel according to the method provided in account settings, checkout terms, payment processor portal, or by contacting info@otoboardprep.com.
Unless the checkout terms or applicable law state otherwise:
- Cancellation stops future renewal;
- Cancellation does not automatically refund the current paid term;
- Access continues until the end of the paid term;
- Access ends when the paid term expires;
- Deleting an account does not necessarily cancel payment obligations handled by third-party processors.
6. General No-Refund Rule
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, all fees are non-refundable once digital access begins. Refunds are not provided for:
- Unused time;
- Lack of use;
- Dissatisfaction with content;
- Failure to pass any examination;
- Failure to achieve any score or outcome;
- Change of mind;
- Accidental purchase;
- Duplicate accounts created by the user;
- Technical issues caused by the user's device, browser, network, institutional firewall, or local environment;
- Violation of Terms of Use;
- Account suspension or termination for cause.
7. Discretionary Refunds or Credits
OtoBoard Prep may, at its sole discretion, provide a refund, credit, extension, or other accommodation. This may occur, for example, in cases of duplicate billing, prolonged platform outage attributable to OtoBoard Prep, or other exceptional circumstances.
Any discretionary accommodation does not waive OtoBoard Prep's rights and does not create an obligation to provide the same accommodation in the future.
8. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy limits any refund, cancellation, withdrawal, or consumer-protection right that cannot legally be waived.
Where applicable law gives the user non-waivable rights, OtoBoard Prep will comply with those rights.
9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If a user initiates a chargeback or payment dispute, OtoBoard Prep may suspend access while the dispute is reviewed. Improper chargebacks may be treated as a breach of the Terms of Use.
10. Price Changes
OtoBoard Prep may change prices and plan features at any time. Changes do not affect an already-paid fixed term unless required by law or expressly stated. For auto-renewing plans, changes may apply at renewal subject to legally required notice.
11. Promotional Offers
Promotional offers may be limited by time, geography, user, plan, payment method, or other criteria. OtoBoard Prep may modify or withdraw promotional offers at any time, unless prohibited by law.
12. Institutional and Group Access
Institutional, group, residency-program, university, hospital, or enterprise access requires a separate written agreement. Individual Subscriptions are for one Authorized User only.
